About Puri (Jagannath)

On the Odisha coast, Puri pairs the Jagannath Temple with a long beach, close enough that one base serves both. Non-Hindus are not permitted inside the temple. Konark's Sun Temple is a short drive away and usually visited on the same trip. The Rath Yatra in summer draws enormous crowds and fills the town; winter is the settled season, and the monsoon months are wet and humid.
