About Pokhara

Beside Phewa Lake with the Annapurna range on the skyline, Pokhara is Nepal's other trekking base and the usual start for Annapurna routes. It is reached by a long road journey or a short flight from Kathmandu. The lakeside strip can be walked end to end, and most guesthouses, gear shops and restaurants sit along it. Mountain views are clearest in October and November and again in spring.
