About Shenandoah National Park

A long, narrow national park along the Blue Ridge in Virginia, organized around Skyline Drive and the trails running off it. The cost shape differs from a city: there is a park entrance fee, you drive between everything, and the few lodges and campgrounds inside book out early, so many visitors stay in Luray, Front Royal or Waynesboro. October foliage is the peak, and parts of the drive close in winter weather.
