Lakshadweep Islands
Kavaratti, India
About Lakshadweep Islands
Coral atolls scattered in the Arabian Sea, and India's smallest union territory. Access is controlled: visitors need a permit and arrive by flight or ship via Agatti or Kavaratti, and only a few islands admit tourists, so most people book a package rather than arrange island hops themselves. Snorkelling and diving are the point. Sea links deteriorate during the southwest monsoon.
