Getting started on TravelVulture

Everything a new partner needs, in plain language. Listing is free, and you can be live today.

Ready when you are

Register in about five minutes, then add your products one at a time or all at once by spreadsheet.

Part 1: Register

About 5 minutes

  1. 1

Go to the partners page and choose the doorway that fits you: travel partner, wellness partner, or medical partner.

  2. 2

Create your account with your work email, then confirm the verification link we send. Accounts stay inactive until the link is clicked, which keeps fake listings off the platform.

  3. 3

Fill in your business details: business name, city and country, a short description, your website, a phone number, and a contact person. Those last three decide how fast you go live, so it is worth having them to hand.

  4. 4

Business type, then what you offer. These are two different questions and it is worth knowing why before you answer them.

Business type is what kind of organisation you are, and you pick one. A company that runs its own tours is a Tour Operator, whatever kind of tours those happen to be.

What you offer is everything you sell, and you tick as many as apply. This is how travellers find you: somebody searching for a food tour only reaches you if you ticked Food Tours, so leaving one out makes you invisible to exactly the people looking for it.

  5. 5

Submit. With a website, a phone number and a contact person on file, your listings can go up right away and we verify afterwards, so nothing sits in a queue before you can start. Without them your account is created but waits for a quick review first: your portal shows exactly what is missing, and adding it takes seconds.

“We do walking tours and day trips. Which do we pick?”

Both. You are never choosing which half of your business to declare. Pick Tour Operator as your business type, then tick Walking Tours, Day Trips and anything else you run. Each individual tour is then added separately as its own listing.

What it costs: nothing. No signup fee, no listing fee, no monthly fee, ever. We earn a small success fee only when a referral actually converts, and that is written into the partner agreement.

Part 2: Add what you sell

Two ways, use whichever suits you.

One at a time, in the portal

Sign in, go to your partner portal, open Listings, and add each product: title, type (tour, activity, hotel, package), short description, price from, currency, duration, and a photo link if you have one.

Many at once, by spreadsheet

Download the template, fill one row per product, and upload it in the portal under Add many at once. This is the fast path when you have ten or more products.

Download the listing template →

Columns in the template: title, listing_type, description, price_from, currency, duration_hours, destination, neighborhood, meeting_point, highlights, includes, excludes, languages, max_group_size, image_url, tags.

City and neighbourhood are two fields

Put the city in destination and the district, beach or old town in neighborhood. Miami and Little Havana, not both in one box. Travellers then see “Little Havana, Miami”. If we do not cover your city yet, nothing is rejected: your listing is saved, we review it and map it before it goes live.

How many at a time: up to 20 listings per file, and 10 for wellness programs, 30 for medical services, 20 for events. That is per file, not a limit on your catalogue. Sixty products means three files. We keep each batch small enough to read the same day, which is what gets you live quickly.

The five that win the booking

highlights, includes, excludes, languages and max_group_size are optional, and they are what a traveller compares two similar products on. Put two tours side by side, one that says what the price covers and what it does not, one that says neither: the first is the one they choose.

  • highlights: what they will see or do, for example Chandni Chowk lanes; spice market; Jama Masjid view
  • includes: what the price covers, for example guide; 8 tastings; bottled water
  • excludes: what it does not, for example hotel pickup; tips; drinks
  • languages: what you can run it in
  • max_group_size: a number

Separate each item with a semicolon. The same fields are on the one at a time form in your portal, so it makes no difference which way you add a product.

Run a retreat, a venue or a hospital desk? Those have their own templates and their own guides: wellness, events, and medical.

Notes that matter

  • Free or tip-based products: leave price_from blank or 0 and add the tag "free". Travellers see it as free, and any paid or private version can sit alongside as its own row.
  • destination should be the city travellers search for, for example London or Goa. We match it to the destination page your listing appears on.
  • tags help travellers find you: walking, history, family, food, private, and so on. Separate them with semicolons.

Uploaded listings are reviewed by our team before they appear publicly, usually within a day. You will see them marked "Pending review" in your portal until then. If you did not give a website at registration, the upload form asks for it, so we can show who your listings come from.

Part 3: See how you are doing

Sign in and open your partner portal. Your dashboard is yours alone: it shows only your listings and only the travellers who engaged with them.

  • Impressions: how many times your listings were shown to travellers.
  • Clicks: how many travellers opened your listing or clicked through to you.
  • Enquiries: travellers who contacted you through a listing. Bookings themselves happen between you and the traveller, so we count the enquiries we send you, not your sales.
  • Conversion rate: clicks against impressions, so you can see which products earn attention.
  • Per listing breakdown: the same numbers for each product, so you can tell which tour is pulling and which needs a better description or photo.
  • Date range: this month, last month, or a custom window.
  • Recent leads: travellers who reached out through your listings, with what they were planning (city, dates, group size) so you can reply in context.
  • Lead journeys: what a traveller looked at before contacting you, anonymised. No names, no IP addresses, no personal data. Enough to see what they were planning, nothing that identifies a person.

You will not see other partners' numbers, and they will not see yours.

Part 4: Getting more from it

  • Write descriptions for a traveller who has never been to your city. What they will see, how long it takes, what is included.
  • One good photo beats three weak ones. Landscape, bright, showing the experience rather than a logo.
  • Keep prices current. Travellers compare whole trip costs, so a stale price costs you the booking and costs us trust.
  • Tell us when something changes: new product, seasonal closure, new contact person. A quick message through our contact page is enough.
  • Reply fast to leads. Travellers planning a trip are usually talking to two or three operators at once.

Part 5: Curated trips and your listings

TravelVulture also designs complete curated trips for travellers who want everything arranged for them. Our trip designers build those itineraries from partner listings on the platform, so your products can end up inside a fully planned journey.

  • Stay current, stay eligible. Keeping your listings, prices and availability up to date is what makes you eligible to be included in a curated itinerary. A stale price or a product that no longer runs gets skipped.
  • Same terms as any referral. When a curated trip uses your product, the booking comes to you like any other referral, on the same terms: free to start, then a small success fee only on bookings we actually send you. The exact numbers are in your partner portal.
  • Travel agents: if you build custom itineraries yourself, say so in your listing description. Travellers looking for a fully arranged trip search for exactly that.

Our pledge, and what we ask back

We are not trying to build a business by taking a large cut of yours. Our aim is to keep our own costs low and to give local operators a real presence online without compromising their income, so that the money a traveller spends mostly stays with the people who actually deliver the trip.

That is why there is no listing fee, why the success fee is small and applies only when a traveller we sent actually books, and why your own confirmation is what we calculate it from. We keep a record of the enquiries we send you, so on the rare occasion something does not line up we can look at it together rather than assume.

It is a pledge on our side, and we ask for the same honesty in return. That is the whole arrangement, and it is worth more to both of us than any single booking.
