About Miami Beach
Miami Beach is a barrier island city across Biscayne Bay from Miami itself, built along a wide Atlantic beach and the Art Deco Historic District that runs beside Ocean Drive. Most of what visitors come for sits within walking distance of the sand, so local transport stays a minor line in the budget while accommodation dominates it. Room rates swing hard by season: they peak from December to March when the weather is dry and mild, and drop through the humid summer and the Atlantic hurricane season that runs to November.
