About Hanoi
Vietnam's capital, in the north, built around lakes and a dense Old Quarter that rewards walking. Most of the historic core sits close together, so taxis and ride hailing are short hops, and a metro line covers some longer routes. Hanoi has a real winter by Southeast Asian standards, cool and damp from December to February, with hot humid summers and heaviest rain from May to September.
